Bereavement Counselling Care is a confidential counselling service for anyone in Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding areas.

We are a team of highly qualified counsellors, with many years experience of working with grief and loss.

As well as the loss of a loved one, individuals can also experience other losses such as:

• Job/career
• Identity
• Health
• Way of life
• Relationship
• Pet

Grief can show itself in many ways. Some people experience anger or guilt, some withdraw, while others may feel numb and empty. The scope of feelings associated with loss and bereavement is vast and can be all encompassing and overwhelming.

There is no right or wrong way to grieve. Nor is there a time limit. Everyone experiences this process in a way that is personal to them.

Bereavement Counselling Care can provide support during these difficult times. We can:

• Help you to understand the grieving process
• Explore areas in which you feel ‘stuck’ and unable to move forward
• Explore with you possible areas of conflict and work towards a resolution
• Help you to adjust to a different role and a new sense of self
• Aid you in reclaiming a sense of purpose

We personalise the counselling sessions to suit the needs of the individual, offering a professional, non-judgemental, confidential service for clients who need a safe place and dedicated time to work through their grief.

We are able to see clients either in their homes or in one of our counselling rooms, which are based in Southend-on-Sea and Shoeburyness.

All of our counsellors are members of the BACP and work to their ethical framework. We hold professional indemnity insurance and are CRB checked.
